Why was Vettel's penalty reversed?

Who am I referring to?

No, not Ron Dennis and the McLaren team, I am referring to the race stewards and the FIA.

After deciding not to penalize Hamilton for his part in the accident back in Japan, somehow, miraculously, they also decided it wasn't fair to punish Vettel either.

Hmmm, I wonder why that is?

According to the FIA statement, they are simply ignorant and made like to make hasty decisions without hearing all the evidence, especially evidence from YouTube:

"Having heard the evidence of all concerned and viewed both then original film of the incident which was available to the stewards at Fuji as well as the new film (from YouTube.com) what has become apparent is the view clearly expressed by all drivers and team managers alike that the conditions at Fuji were exceptionally bad, and because of these views, the stewards accept that it would be inappropriate to impose the penalty normally applied for an offense such as this. In the circumstances the stewards will reduce the penalty imposed upon Vettel to one of a reprimand.'

Where did this new practical and level-headed approach come from? Where was it last Sunday when the stewards were ready to chop Vettel's head off?

This new *approach* did not emerge until after Hamilton was implicated with proof he was also responsible.

After Vettel handed over his nuts on a platter, the precedent was obviously set for the entire field, and the race stewards and the FIA could not let Hamilton get away without a penalty after penalizing Vettel. If they did, it would seem hypocritical and as if they were possibly favoring Hamilton.

Duh!

And since the FIA knows that most F1 fans are a bunch of moronic idiots (especially the British Media or the folks over at SpeedTV), who apparently don't care much about fair play, they knew we'd buy their lame excuse this time as well!

Seriously, does anyone out their believe if Hamilton had not been implicated with video that proves he was partially to blame for the accident, that Vettel would still have been let off today?

In other words, forget about whether or not Hamilton should have or should not have gotten penalized. The real question is why was Vettel's penalty reversed AFTER Hamilton was proven to be responsible as well, but not before!?

However, if you do believe in the FIA, call me. I have this great *deal* where we can both make billions and all you have to do is send me a small deposit (certified checks only please) for $100k to get the ball rolling. Don't worry, "I'm not lying".
