Alonso sends indirect criticism to FIA
"...I didn’t know if the car (Hamilton's beached car) was there from the lap before, from another lap or if the engine was running. We also saw on the big screen in Nurburgring he was in the gravel and then he was on the track again thanks to the recovery car, so I didn’t know if that was a definite retirement or not, so I kept doing my race and not taking care too much."
Out of nowhere Alonso reminds everyone of that other fiasco at the European Grand Prix where Hamilton had beached his car with a couple other drivers, but it was Hamilton's car (the one farthest from the track) that the recovery team was sent to save.
It was clear to everyone Hamilton was the beneficiary of preferential treatment by the people in charge, but until now, no one inside F1 gave such an open opinion.
This reveals a lot about Alonso's true thoughts regarding the subject of whether or not Hamilton has been given preferential treatment or not, and how that might affect the race (and the championship) in Brazil.
