McLaren still not out of the woods: Sabotage Alonso
Now McLaren is facing possible sanctions due to the fact that Fernando Alonso's tires during Q3 for the Chinese Grand Prix, were installed with abnormally high tire pressure. High tire pressures will reduce grip dramatically and affect lap times.
So, was this another rookie mistake made by one of the most experienced teams in F1? Or, is this an experienced team using a nearly impossible-to-prove method of sabotage to kill Alonso's chances at the title?
Either way, McLaren have already been proven as cheats, and the fact that they admitted their guilt by not appealing the disqualification or fine, one can only speculate, or even assume this would be well within their tendencies.
It's no secret Dennis and Alonso are not friends, and that the British team has favored their British driver over Alonso since day one. Alonso knows this, and so does the FIA. This is why the FIA warned McLaren they would be watching them.
