Message to FIA
I am a fan on Formula One. I have been for many, many years. And I am appalled at how lenient the FIA has been with the various teams this season. McLaren's most recent appeal, after a brilliant result that literally saved the season, is a total disgrace.
How dare they suggest they are appealing only to appease F1 fans and insiders, because breaking the rules should be punished, after they themselves are responsible for the biggest and most disgusting scandal to hit the sport since it's inception.
They should be punished not just by point deduction, but by expulsion from the sport.
The sport does not need a bunch of ungrateful malcontents ruining everything that was once good about F1.
My hope is that the FIA sees it fit to send a stern message to such insubordinates and disqualify the two McLaren drivers from the seasons records, as they should have done back in September when it was confirmed McLaren cheated.
In other words, I don't want the FIA to simply ignore this appeal, or rule in a way favorable to Kimi just to make sure it is favorable to Kimi. What I want is McLaren severely punished, because I am sick and tired of people like Ron Dennis who think they can do what ever they want to run the sport. As a fan I am outraged, disgusted and I absolutely did NOT want to see this appeal. What I wanted was to have the good memories of a great race in Brazil count for something.
I don't care who is British or who is Spanish. The sport should be bigger than that, and I hope this is not what's happening.
If this appeal is not dealt with properly with a swift kick to where it hurts McLaren most, I fear the FIA will have lost many long-time fans.
I literally spit in the face of whom ever is responsible for bringing this once fabled sport, to such disrepute and I hope the FIA does the same.
Sincerely,
Anthony
