New countdown: November 15

This has been the year of the countdown.

McLaren went ahead with their ridiculous appeal, one that everyone knows will fail, but a date has been set anyway. November 15, 2007.

As Max Mosley said, it is up to McLaren to show they are right, and it might not matter anyway.

"For us the world championship is over, the result is what it is," said Mosley. "A team presented an appeal; at the moment, this doesn't change anything - it's up to them to prove they are right."

And since McLaren didn't protest the results of the Brazilian Grand Prix (which they should have done if they planned to appeal, not to do so is contradictory), does McLaren even have the right to appeal this decision?

"You could argue whether McLaren had a right to appeal. They could have protested the result, but they didn't. Apparently they didn't measure the temperature of the fuel.

"But even if the cars classified ahead of Hamilton would be excluded, would this change his position? The Court of Appeal will have to rule on that."

In other words, the decision of this appeal is already foregone conclusion, so why wait until November?

All I have to say is that Kimi and Ferrari are champions today, and they will also be champions after November 15.
